Retail Store Assistant Manager - St. Joseph, Michigan 

Are you passionate about the surf and beach lifestyle? Are you committed to providing a great customer experience? We have an opportunity for you! Third Coast Surf Shop is looking for an assistant manager for our St. Joseph retail store. This position requires 30-40 hours per week year-round, including weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Leading all aspects of customer service – ringing up sales, providing in-store product education, and answering calls and emails.

• Executing and overseeing daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures and point-of-sale system.

• Meeting sales and operational goals, and ensuring policies and procedures are effectively implemented.

• Helping with recruiting, training, and supervising staff.

• Managing inventory by receiving new merchandise, checking stock regularly, and working closely with Store Manager, Ecommerce Manager, and the rest of the team.

• Maintaining store appearance, including merchandising, cleaning, and restocking.

• Other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Preferred retail and customer service experience.

• Passion and/or interest in action sports (surfing, snowboarding, and skateboarding).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Familiarity with Shopify, or other retail POS systems, preferred but not required.

• Full commitment to working retail store hours, including weekends and some holidays.
