Do you ship internationally?
We ship orders to all 50 of the United States and to other select countries. If you are located outside the U.S., please contact us at [email protected] to find out if shipping is available and any applicable shipping charges.
What payment methods do you accept online?
For online orders, we accept Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, PayPal, and Third Coast gift cards. We do not accept checks, cash, or credit vouchers. Credit cards that do not participate in the verification process will not be accepted.
Do I pay sales tax when I buy online?
If you live in the state of Michigan, you will pay state sales tax (6%). For customers outside Michigan, you won’t pay sales tax.
Did you get my online order? When will my order ship?
You'll receive a confirmation email soon after placing your order. Orders will be processed for shipment within 1 to 2 business days of receiving, not including weekends or holidays. If you have not received an order confirmation within one business day of placing your order, please contact us at [email protected] or 269-932-4575 ext. 1.
I ordered the wrong stuff, or I have another problem with my online order. What do I do?
No problem! Email us at [email protected] and we’ll get it taken care of as soon as possible.
What is your return policy?
We want you to be happy; if you are not completely satisfied for any reason and need to return something, please contact us at [email protected]
Your original sales receipt must accompany all returns. All refunds will be given in the same currency used for the purchase (i.e., a specific credit card, gift card, etc.). We accept returns for exchange or refund within 30 calendar days after purchase of the product, or store credit within 30-60 days. Items must be in "new, unaltered, and unused condition." The definition of "new, unaltered, and unused condition" is as follows:
- The item(s) show no sign of wear or damage in any way
- The item(s) must have all tags and be in original packaging, if applicable
- Excludes special or custom orders
If an item is received damaged or is incorrectly shipped by us, please contact us immediately at [email protected] Items that are defective and shipped from us, or items that you did not order but received from us, will qualify for store credit or a refund. The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs unless item was shipped from us as damaged or defective, or incorrectly.

Which surfboard do you recommend for me?
We take a lot of factors into consideration when recommending a surfboard – your size, your level of experience, and the conditions where you’ll be surfing - to name a few. Feel free to reach out to us at [email protected]surfshop.com or 269-932-4575 ext. 1, and we’ll be happy to talk boards with you. In the meantime, look around at our surfboard selection for an idea of what’s available, and check out our Lake Surfing 101 page for some tips on choosing a board.
Do you buy/sell used surfboards?
Yes! If you’re interested in selling a board, email us at [email protected] with a few good photos and details – the board’s size, condition, and when and where you bought it. We’ll follow up with you. We carry used boards in the shop as they come in, so availability can vary.
Do you do ding repair?
We currently do not offer ding repair in house, but we have an excellent source to refer you to. Tucker Van Tol does surfboard and stand-up paddleboard repair under the “Risen Son Surfboards” label in Grand Haven, Michigan.
