Sometimes you just have to find a way. An oldie but goodie, this was originally posted to our blog in the winter of '12/'13 , and too good not to revisit.
Some of our surf breaks are only accessible via a long hike in. No biggie...it's a nice way to warm up before getting wet. One variable that changes that thought process is the weather. In winter, when the wind is honking at 20-30+ knots on an exposed stretch of beach and the wind chill is below zero, I'm not sure how much 'warming up' is going on.
