Save on the Slopes

Whether you’re a longtime snowboarder or new to shredding, we’re all looking for great deals to get us on the hill without breaking the bank. Here are some rad offers to check out before you plan your next snowboarding trip.

Get Away to Caberfae
Our crew loves heading north to Caberfae Peaks in Cadillac, Michigan – and there’s plenty of incentive for you to ride there, too. You’ll find bargains throughout the week – lift tickets start at $25 per day, group beginner lessons start at $20, and lodging starts at $99 per room. Click to learn more.

Your Kid Could Ride Free
Got a 4th or 5th grader? Download the Cold is Cool Ski & Ride Passport app from the Michigan Snowsports Industries Association (MSIA). You’ll pay $30 for the passport, then get up to three lift tickets or trail passes for each of the 29 participating Michigan ski areas (over 60 lift tickets in total!). To get started, you’ll need to submit proof of your child’s grade and their photo. Check the app and the ski area’s website for any black-out dates before you go. Click to learn more.

$45 Beginner Lessons in January
If you (or a friend or family member) are new to snowboarding, now is the time to learn. Select ski areas across Michigan are teaming up with McDonald’s to provide affordable lessons all month long. For $45, you’ll get a beginner lesson, equipment rental, and lift ticket/pas. Open to ages 10+ for snowboarding and ages 7+ for skiing. Click to learn more.
