 Third Coast Surf Shop started guiding winter surfing trips in 2006. Since then, we have visited Costa Rica, Ecuador (three times), Australia (twice), and Morocco. Our goal is to give fellow lake (and ocean) surfers a chance to escape the cold winter at home to surf and relax in warm, tropical locales. Suffice it to say, there is plenty of demand and our trips have been a major success. The winter of 2012 will be a 'stay-cation' for shop owner Ryan Gerard and his wife, Erin, as they are expecting their first child (a boy) in early January of 2012. Though it will be the first winter not travelling internationally since we started these trips in 2006, we are looking forward to running more down the road. Until then, happy surfing! |
