Stand Up Paddleboarding 101

What’s SUP? Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) is quickly growing into one of the coolest new ways to get on the water. Relatively easy to do with a little practice, stand up paddling is similar to kayaking – all you need is a body of water and a paddle and you are set to go. SUP is a great, full body core workout that is actually fun! While perfect for calm days on the lake, in the harbor, and up the river, stand up paddleboards can also be surfed when there are small waves as it is essentially a giant surfboard. Our stand up boards and paddles are top of the line and our SUP lesson covers all of the basics involved in stand up paddling.

Skimboarding 101

Skimboarding is one of the fastest growing sports for kids on both U.S. coasts as well as in the Great Lakes region.  Fun and easy to do, it is a great way for kids and adults alike to stay active at the beach. Our Skim 101 Lesson emphasizes safety, proper technique, and fun; all of the elements important for taking full advantage of skimboarding!

Sandboarding 101

If you snowboard, surf, skim, or skateboard, you don’t know what you’re missing if you haven’t tried sandboarding! Similar to snowboarding in the sense that you are standing sideways on a board and riding down a hill, sandboarding is quickly becoming a hot new sport in our area. With world class sand dunes 15 minutes away at Warren Dunes State Park, our lessons offer an awesome way to become introduced to the sport. If you may not be comfortable standing, we even offer sand sleds!
