Welcome to our Great Lakes Surfing Photo Gallery. This is where we get to share our passion for what we do, and where you can learn more about exactly what that is. Many of these photos have been shared with us by friends and customers, and for that, we cannot thank them enough. GREAT LAKES SURFING - ALBUM #1

You are about to view what is possibly the most comprehensive collection of Great Lakes surfing photos ever assembled online, one which encompasses virtually every stretch of coastline in the western Lakes region. Having taken 11 years to accumulate, the majority have been shared by dedicated surfers and photographers who have explored every nook and cranny that might hold a wave. As can be seen here, their dedication has paid off in the form of eye candy to any surfer anywhere, and goes to show even the most crusty old salt that, indeed, there are good waves to be found in the Great Lakes.

THE SHOP - ALBUM #2

Having been established in a small, sleepy lakeside resort town called New Buffalo in 2005, this is Third Coast Surf Shop. A vision that once was laughed at by commercial lendors and given quizzical stares by aloof locals, has now become a well respected local business. Having grown each year, we are busting at the seams in our former cottage-turned-surf shop, but we have managed to make do and continue to expand the services that we offer. For those who haven't been, we look forward to seeing you here someday.

LESSONS - ALBUM #3

How many times have we heard someone say, "You can surf on the Great Lakes?!"? More than enough, suffice to say, but it still happens. We get a kick out of telling them that they can, too, by way of our series of 101 Lessons that we offer. A first in the Great Lakes, our Surfing 101 Lessons have been growing steadily since our inception and show no signs of slowing. There's something about the thrill of riding a bord across a wave of energy moving through the water, and our lessons are an ideal way to learn how to do it.

KIDS' BEACH CAMPS - ALBUM #4

How cool would it have been to go to a camp at the beach where you learn how to surf, skimboard, sandboard down the dunes, and run around with other kids your age for a few hours? Where was this when we grew up? Regardless, it's here now, and your kids deserve it! Watch the slideshow for a glimpse into what goes on in a typical day at camp...at the beach!

EVENTS - ALBUM #5

We've always been into supporting our community, because it supports us. Actually, they support us - our local community in New Buffalo and the Great Lakes surfing community in general. The least we can do is get involved in local beach clean ups, surfing and skimboarding contests, attendance and support at community events; they are all ways that we try to give back. We usually try to be proactive when it comes to these things, because attending is one thing, but organizing and bringing people together is another. Both are a good thing.

SURFARIS - ALBUM #6

"What is a surfari?", you might be asking. Quite simply, a surfari is exactly what the two words it meshes are - a surf surfari. In the Great Lakes, dedicated surfers get used to surfing in the cold because that is when we get our most consistent waves. We have to. Otherwise we'd not be surfing for months at a time, and that ain't happening. Hence, the surfari; an escape from cold water torture to places where the water is usually warm and the surf usually good. Suffice it to say, these have been pretty popular!

FRIENDS & LIFESTYLE - ALBUM #7

These two words probably do more to sum up our business vision at Third Coast more than any other. Without our friends, families, and customers (all intertwined), we wouldn't be here. And without our passion for this surfing lifestyle, we would'nt be who we are. It's that simple.
